Apply before March 15 to attend PROJECT ATMOSPHERE, a two-week summer meteorology workshop specifically designed for teachers and run by the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
Expenses while at the workshop are covered by allowances from the AMS. In addition, Canadian Geographic Education and the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS) each provide a $300 subsidy (for a total of $600) for travel to and from the workshop. The workshop is held in July at the National Weather Service Training Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The deadline for applications is MARCH 15. This opportunity is open to elementary and high school teachers. For more information and an application form please go to the CMOS website.
